Calling all non-pork eaters, rejoice! For if you look past the glaring neon lights and the dingy Shinjuku building which houses Rouben Gyoza Kan, you will reap the fruits of 12 perfectly fused pot stickers arranged geometrically on a large platter, sans pork. Panfried and perfectly seared on the outside, these gyozas to me are the perfect consistency of crispy skin and soft moist centres. My hunch though is that if you are like my crony with seasoned taste buds for gyozas, you will probably not be flipping over these part seafood, part egg filled ones as the missy did not look too rhapsodic. Go instead for the conventional ones as these are strictly only for the deprived.
