This winter, I am once more obsessing over sleek black tapered leg pants. With fastidious detailing which include (and not restricted to) buttons, zippers, ruching and shirring on the hem, they are fashion's answer to nonchalance dressing. Loving these done-to-bits trends:

1. With ballerinas: Practical chic. For those occasions when the gams are protesting

2. With heels: Va-va-voom chic. Despite the countless (wo)man-hours spent perfecting Da Look, nothing quite brings out the tush like these anatomically contour hugging pants and a pair of trusty 3-inch. And yes, elongation is a necessity.

3. With booties: Upper East Side chic. Ala the Waldorfs and Van der Woodsens of the world;)

4. With boots: Sleek chic. Major plus as it is an easy fit into boots (be them thigh or knee high) without the bunched-up denim thumbs-down look
