Start Of A Tradition

Together with my Tokyo BFF, we started our very own tradition of going for a lovely afternoon tête à tête either at Laduree or Pierre Hermé on our respective birthdays.

Our first stop this year was Laduree. Not too sure if this rule applies to all their cafes but at least I can vouch that the people at Laduree Tokyo knows a thing or two on how to douse people's enthusiasm. There is this silly rule that other than what was laid down on the table, strictly no other picture taking was allowed. That probably explains the lack of ooohhhs and kawaiis reverberating around us for Japanese girls/boys/women/men are renowned for being trigger happy with their phone cameras. But hey, if it makes them happy, why not?!?

Nonetheless, as always, we had a fantastic time just yakking about anything and everything under the sun. Oh, and I must add that the birthday girl was of course the trendiest of them all!

Happy Birthday again, Doppelganger! May you always stay gorgeous and thank you for being my friend! xoxo...
