Feisty Kaffir Lime...

Make a beeline for Kaffir Lime if you like spices and all things nice. Located in boho-chic Harajuku, this simple joint is no watered down Thai place. Standard fare here includes the perennial favourites: Tom Yam Goong, Pad Thai, Som Tam, Tod Mun Plaa, etc and they come as authentic as it gets. By informing the service staff at Kaffir Lime beforehand, you can even have your own "bespoke" spiciness...a very rare occurrence in Tokyo;)

The Kaya-ish custard dip...Yummy!

In addition, relish the taste of home with this warm bread and custard dessert. Although it may look a little revolting with the greenish custard, the taste reigns supreme and the custard is reminiscent of our Singapore Kaya. Anyway, I think the green hue is due to the addition of Pandan leaves extract, very commonly found in Thai cooking.

With diners chockablock, slurping down oodles of noodles and chockfuls of fiery curries, Kaffir Lime is certainly not for the faint-hearted.
