Mad For Matt With H&M...

Toga still sets the mood for 2009

English designer Matthew Williamson for H&M collection will be debuting next month!

I still recall back in 2005 when Stella McCartney for H&M was launched in New York. My visit to the Big Apple couldn't have been more timely even though I was unable to nail a buy back then. It might be because the store was simply throbbing with masses of people and articles of clothing were strewn all over the racks and shelves, with some even making it onto the floor! It was like a mini stampede! And as I was too jet-lagged to fight tooth and nail with these women for a piece of that designer wear even if it was offered at high street prices, I left in a jiffy, feeling jaded and deflated.

Mini dresses with cinched waists for Spring 2009

But...Forward to the present. My claws are now out and razor-sharp in anticipation for Williamson. Though I am not yet a fan, his ethnic and flora motifs with bold splashes of colours are great Spring/Summer pieces. So, with no jet-lag to contend with and my claws piked and out, look out H&M Tokyo!
