Roy's, The Terror At Roppongi...

The service at Roy's Tokyo Bar & Grill sends shivers down my spines

Since I am on an onslaught for bad restaurants reviews, here is one that me and my other half had bestowed the dubious honour of "worst service in Tokyo" ever.

Housed inside ritzy Roppongi Hills with sweeping views of the Tokyo skyline, we decided on Roy's dinner course menu which held promises of dishes created in collaboration with a Chinese Imperial chef. The food was just about acceptable although I was quite appalled that they actually omitted a pork dish from my menu simply because I had requested for no pork. Feigning ignorance with no apologies or alternatives offered, they then proceeded to serve my other half with the dish. That was incident number 1.

Incident number 2. As advertised, the menu supposedly came with 2 glasses of champagne on the house. But the surly waiter refused to serve us the champagne, citing that we needed coupons which were aplenty in the take-one boxes situated right under our noses! As we were about to hand him one, he relented, which left us wondering whether we were at McDonald's' that we needed coupons???

Incident number 3. Just at the close of our disastrous meal, one of the waiters accidentally placed some drinks which we did not order on our table. In the blink of an eye, his sullen colleague literally sprinted over and seized them away without uttering a word, plunking them down onto the next table. A simple explanation would suffice but the dour service staff at Roy's were repeatedly too arrogant for that.

Dreadful food + dreadful service = pointless to list their contact details.
