Rolls Royce Of Chocs...

I discovered that I actually possessed a sweet tooth. This came as news to me for I was never one for desserts, preferring to fill my gut instead with all things spicy and savoury. But being in Japan, one does as the Japanese do. And boy, do cats love fish! The Japanese take their sweets rather seriously and they are all the more delicious for it. The decadent array of confections available here runs the gamut of every self-respecting chocoholic's wish list and is a big contributing factor to my new found fixation on most things cacao.

Oh, how I droooool over Parisian chocolatier Satie’s truffles. These extraordinary indulgent ganache filled truffles are so smooth and light that they dissolve upon contact, leaving behind a redolent, velvety aftertaste. Sigh...Just the kind of thing one craves when that much needed chocolate fix kicks in.

Hogging the limelight are these similarly divine ones from Royce'. Going for a song (in comparison to Satie), they are by no means low grade. Their Nama chocolates have earned them international acclaim with Singapore and Manila benefiting from new store openings as a result. My fave are the champagne laced ones and my theory for chocolate truffles is why stop at one when you can wallow in sybaritic splendour;)
