Bottega Veneta has always been renowned for their understated yet classic and elegant look. You don't get the brand logo screaming in your face but the intrecciato woven leather bags and wallets are the unmistakable trademark of BV. Although tons of departmental stores are stocking similar looking woven bags, make no mistake for these are far from the real goods. Run your hand lovingly over a BV bag and you will experience first hand the softness of the leather and see the intricacy of the workmanship. Plus the luxurious inner suede lining is one of those things that makes you go oooh...
As for Chloe, at times it makes me go ahhhh and other times hmmm...Despite the Paddington being one of its most recognisable bags, I am not enchanted. The Heloise and Paraty are more my cup of tea. Having said that, please do not attempt to understand the following comment, just take it at face value for it sounds neither logical nor sane. The conflicting thing is I like the Heloise in whatever colours they come in but for Paraty, I am only up for the white ones.
Last year, while holidaying in Europe, I managed to add an Intrecciato Nappa Medium Veneta in pourpre, an Intrecciato Nappa French Flap Wallet in lilac and a brown Heloise tote to my modest stash:) Now, for a white Paraty...
