This delightful little French restaurant tucked well back in a side alley is a gem of a find. The table setting of white and silver with all these adorable little apples bring about a festive cheer to an Art Decor theme. Les Enfants Gates specialises in terrines but believe me, this is not all that this quaint restaurant has to offer, though you will certainly be spoilt for choice with the array of terrines on offer. A testament to the chef's ingenuity can be seen in his choice of ingredients encased within these aspic jelly. From premium ingredients like lobster, foie gras to the more humble champignons and eggplant, it is said that the chef prepares up to a whooping 8 varieties on a daily basis!

Our brunch at Les Enfants Gates was off to a roaring start with the amuse bouche of seasonal fish accompanied with a delicate sauce. This was followed with our choices of terrines. I had the lobster and my other half decided to pamper himself and went for the foie gras. Both were just delicious beyond description! Next came the potage of several organic vegetables blended for that creamy sensation sooo pleasing to the palate.
For the mains, my other half had the Kirishima pork with mustard sauce whilst I opted for the wagyu entrecote with shallot sauce. Kirishima pork supposedly comes from black pigs and it is known to be a healthier alternative to the usual pork. As for Wagyu, it is simply top-of-the-range beef *contented sigh*. Both the main dishes were done to perfection with the meat still moist and flavourful.
