Bag Addiction #8, LV's Lunar Deity...

Which is the most popular luxury brand? If this is a million dollar question on the hit TV game show, "Who wants to be a millionaire?", I guess we will eradicate poverty once and for all! From pre-teens (uh-huh, they start young these days...) to "aunties", Louis Vuitton has really cornered the world luxury market with its vast offering of bags. I can betcha that you have one bag or at least an accessory item from this mammoth fashion house. Despite fashionistas scoffing and turning their noses up at the mere mention of LV, you have to agree, amid grudgingly that they are hugely successful even when the world economy is at a downturn. Yes, it is a luxury brand for the masses but in the corporate world only the fittest will prevail. Just think of all the billions they are raking in each year, including an eye-popping revenue of US$60 million solely from the Wynn Casino store in Macau!

The Mahina draws its inspiration from a lunar deity in the Polynesian culture

Though Speedy is probably the most sought-after range of bags, I am partial to the Mahina. It is a fabulous bag that comes with an extravagant price tag. I like its painstakingly etched LV monogram for that swanky perforated look. Plus it is "à la mode" slouchy and super spacious! You are even welcome to throw in your sink but good luck in locating anything though;) Well, here comes the not-so-good news, at US$3,360, one does have to give it some thought before taking the plunge eh...
