Binge On Burgers...

With McDonalds ringing in huge profits year after year, stakes are getting higher and equating burgers with fast food is now passé. From the inclusion of truffles to foie gras, growing affluence has led many establishments to jump on the wagon and conjure up their own version of gourmet burger. With this improved formula, I am sure that it can only be beneficial to the consumers.

Beacon
The beef patties at Beacon are touted to be freshly grounded, hand shaped and grilled to order. Stack it up with foie gras, crisp lettuce, tomato, sweet red onion and viola! A very premium gourmet burger indeed.

A slab of foie gras verifies its gourmet status

T.Y Harbour Brewery
Wash down that juicy burger with some house brew at T.Y Harbour Brewery. Operated by the same people behind Beacon, it offers relaxed al fresco dining by the bay.

Roti

Although the specialty at Roti is in their rotisserie chicken, load up on their burger which comes with a smorgasbord of toppings and an abundance of melted cheese.

Roti with loads to offer: Crabcakes, Rotisserie Chicken, Beef Burger

Roti

To be honest, I am not a fan of American grub so I am not exactly jumping up and down over any of these places. However, as my other half kept raving about the burger at Trader Vic's, perhaps I should take another plunge into the world of gourmet burgers...
